JHC is proud of its range of services that provide Advice, Housing and Grants’ to people living or working locally. You can read more about each service here.
Launched in 2001, JHC’s Support Service is staffed by a professionally qualified team in conjunction with Cambridge Citizen’s Advice Bureau with whom JHC has a formal partnership.
JHC collaborates with other charities and organisations to help improve access to services for local people. These include counselling services for adults and children (Cambridge Mediation Service, Cogwheel Trust), youth advice services (Centre 33), family support services (Homestart), retraining for adults (Cambridge Housing Society), holidays for children with disabilities (Cambridge Joint Playschemes).
Relate Cambridge in Sawston
Thanks to a bursary from John Huntingdon’s Charity, Relate is now providing relationship support in Sawston. We can help people with a whole range of issues including communication difficulties, a history of failed relationships, money worries, an affair or relationship breakdown.
If you live, work or study in Sawston Relate Cambridge is currently offering 6 free counselling sessions including:
- Relationship counselling: support for you and your partner or for you on your own. We can help if you are having problems and want to work them out, or if you want to separate, or if your relationship has ended.
- Couples’ relationship course: to prepare you for – or help you cope with – any transitions in your relationship such as: moving in together or cohabiting, marriage, becoming parents, a career change, a new life stage, bereavement or â€œempty nestâ€ syndrome, to name just a few.
